Lindelani Ngwenya
Lindelani started woodcarving and drawing at the age of 10. He learnt by watching his father carving wooden spoons and meat platters. He has excelled with etching and lithograph techniques, but also loves to wave sculptures out of copper wire. Lindelani is interested in cultural and spiritual themes which are reflected in his work.

Lindelani Ngwenya studied fine art at Durban Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2000. His interest in weaving resulted in new experiments with wire. Traditional weaving techniques became transitional and those techniques have been exploited in Lindelani’s sculptures.
